Santa Rosa, February 7, 2025 -- Santa Rosa-based BikePartners.net Folding Bike Shop, now in its 14th year of operation, has converted to a mobile business with a local presence.

“Today’s shoppers have become accustomed to delivery options when making purchases,” said Geoffrey Smith, long-time owner of BikePartners.net. “As a Mobile Showroom, we bring the bicycles and product to the customer’s door, neighborhood, workplace or recreation destination. In this way the customer can determine the best function and fit for their particular use requirements. We feel this sales model acknowledges today’s buyers’ preference for the convenience of home delivery.”

The try-before-you-buy mobile service works particularly well for BikePartners.net Folding Bike Shop – a large number of folding bicycles can be easily transported to the customer site in the company van. Portability is the primary benefit of these bikes which boast high quality components, and sizing to fit adult riders of all sizes. In fact, 6’4” tall Smith rides folding bikes almost exclusively.

“Folding bikes are the perfect transportation solution for people who commute on public transportation like the SMART train and buses, travel in RVs, or attend school on campus. They are small when folded so they can be stored easily wherever the rider goes, not requiring a lock which could be cut. And they are fun to ride!,” Smith said.

The shop is an authorized dealer for bicycle brands Bike Friday made in Eugene, OR; Brompton made in London, UK; Tern based in Taiwan; Montague based in Boston, MA; and TerraTrike recumbent trikes based in Michigan.

Customers can visit the company web site at www.bikepartners.net to schedule an appointment and review available bicycle and accessory inventory.

“We thoroughly enjoyed the 14 years we had in our storefront on Wilson Street in Historic Railroad Square. Times have changed and we are changing with the times.”
