We are excited to welcome a new addition to the already awesome TerraTrike line - the Maverick!
The very popular and well-loved TerraTrike brand has released a brand new trike called the Maverick. This trike is even lower in cost, starting at just $999, which will make it a great option for all of you out there who couldn't justify spending $1000 or more on a new trike. Hey, we understand. That is why we are happy to offer you the new and affordable entry-level Maverick! The nice thing is if you should want to upgrade parts of it later on, you will have the option to do so when it works for you. Check it out below!
LEISURE ON THREE WHEELS
Experience cycling freedom on the new Maverick, an entry level trike that packs a lot of features. The new wide seat with fixed seat mount provides riders with a firm and comfortable riding position. The versatile Maverick makes it easy to upgrade to the TerraTrike hybrid steering stack and the boom stub tube allows one to easily add a front derailleur.
The new weight-reducing, round tube Hi-ten steel frame uses the tried and proven Rambler frame design and has a weight capacity of 275 lbs. It provides easy access for getting on and off of the trike and produces a very predictable riding experience.
Other highlights include the direct drivetrain for a quiet ride without the need for idlers as well as custom TerraTrike wheels and Schwalbe tires. Like its predecessors, the Maverick is the perfect leisure riding trike.
Direct Steering
The horizontal handlebar position gives the rider responsive handling to steering inputs and gives the Maverick a tight turning radius.
Wide Fixed Seat
The new wide seat on the Maverick is comfortable and the height allows riders easy on and off access, as well as providing great visibility and safety. The Maverick features a dual position fixed seat mount, providing added seat frame stiffening.
Steel Blue Frame
The Maverick frame is constructed from round, weight-reducing Hi-ten steel, and is available in steel blue paint with silver logo accents.
Custom TerraTrike Wheels
Using TerraTrike proprietary rims, hubs, stainless steel spokes paired with Schwalbe tires.
Drivetrain
The external hub uses a traditional derailleur system. The internal hub is maintenance free and allows the rider to shift easily, even when stopped.

The i8 is Shimano Nexus internal 8-speed hub.
The x8 is a conventional eight-speed derailleur system with cassette.
Note: the i8 hub has become unavailable due to COVID supply chain issues. As a result this model has been replaced with the 'Rogue' model featuring an Enviolo continuously variable planetary transmission hub.
What’s the difference between the i8 and the x8 models?
